#151 Mew

#151 Mew. Where to find it in Platinum Emerald and how it evolves.

Gift or one-time encounter

• Faraway Island: One-time battle: Mew, Lv 30

Getting there

• After you beat the Kanto Champion, the scientist in the Experiment Room of the Cinnabar Island Pokemon Lab gives you the Old Sea Map. The only way to Faraway Island, where Mew waits, is from Kanto: talk to the sailor on the Vermilion City pier (the S.S. Anne must have left) and pick Faraway Island. The island's sailor takes you back to Vermilion City. In the grass, chase Mew: it hides and moves away until you reach it.

From Hoenn, once you have also beaten the Hoenn Champion, show the map to the ferry attendant at the Lilycove City harbor. The sailor on the island takes you back to the port you left from.
